Deviation Actions

School, work and life in general are keeping me really busy these days but I try to keep up with my fellow deviants as much as I can.

I had over 350 deviations on my watch so I cleared the list...I just can't keep up with it all. I do look at the work you guys are uploading and I try to comment and fave when I can, but if I tried to comment on everything, I'd have no time for anything else.

As you may have noticed, I uploaded inked versions of the first two pages of my latest comic effort. So what's going on is that I figured I'd work on the book sporadically between all my other responsibilities (being able to draw at work helps). But the comic is going to go through a state of upheaval. See, I'm closer to deciding what Jet Dancer will be all about, and I came up with a different approach to the story. Fortunately, that different approach doesn't affect how the comic I'm working on starts, so I don't need to redo the pages I've done so far, but I do need to edit future pages that I planned. So, the rest of the comic is going to be slower-going.

I'm also thinking of coloring the comic the way I colored , and . Because I was telling myself that, while my artwork is certainly not beyond reproach, I can't keep sitting around and waiting for critiques before I go forward either. Otherwise I'll never get anything done. I need to produce complete pages the first time, with colors and lettering, and resolve any mistakes later. So I'm not going to upload another incomplete page, and I'll edit the pages I have up now to reflect the new approach. No digital inks and straight from rough to colors means the comic will be done faster and have a unique look (as far as my art is concerned anyway).

In other news, is it weird that I have Uncharted 2 for PS3 (from Gamefly) and I'm not all that eager to play it? I mean, everyone's screaming Game of the Year, the game that defines the PS3 and all that, but to me it feels like a standard cross between third person shooter and Tomb Raider with a guy in the lead. Yeah, great graphics, great voice acting, etc...but it doesn't feel all that special of a game to me. I didn't really get into the first one either but I thought maybe the sequel would interest me more. It's like my interest in the game is in direct contrast to the amount of hype surrounding it, even though it's a perfectly competent game...

You guys have anything you want to talk about? My ear...well, my eyes that look at this monitor, are always open. :)
