The Jet Jam is On! -- Extended thru the weekend!

I've decided to extend the jam through this weekend. Of course, if you want to draw Jet, you're always welcome to, but only through August 9 will I post them here for the world to see.

On Sunday night I will post a final journal prominently displaying all the jam entries on my front page.

It's very simple: create any kind of image you want, including whatever characters you see fit to add...black and white, color, sketched, inked, painted, whatever. I'll even accept writing if you feel like it. The only criteria is that it prominently features my character Jet Dancer:

As for depicting Jet, I do have some guidelines:

You can dress her however you like; you're not restricted to the outfit I designed for her. Tasteful nudity is even acceptable. But the boots and arm bands are required (you do NOT have to include her gauntlets if you don't want to). You don't have to draw the boots exactly how I draw them. Just render them however best fits your style.

Refer to the color scheme if you choose to color her. Remember that her left eye is red and her right eye is blue.

Most of all, have fun. The deadline for entries will tentatively be set at August 7, 2009. That's one month...but I'm not against the idea of extending the deadline. I will feature every entry in my journal as well as in a permanent collection in my favorites gallery, if that helps you get motivated.

And as this is my first jam, I'm open to suggestions...

comes out of the gate swinging with the first entry in the jam, showing Jet getting ready to slam one of those crazy boots of hers right in your face! I was floored by the stylized look and strong inks!

, one of my oldest and dearest dA buddies has whipped up a pensive and moody looking Jet, far removed from how she usually looks but no less cool.

, 3D artist extraordinaire with great character designs (including Poison and Rin, who he's commissioned me to draw on a couple of occasions) whipped up a beautiful rendition of Jet doing what she loves most, leaping around in the sky above the city!

My own submission to the jam...sure I have a myriad of Jet drawings already but this one is special...it features her in a totally redesigned outfit and has some of my better color work if I do say so myself.

I figured it was only right to do something. Next time I'll feature Jet interacting with others...perhaps one of YOUR characters!
