Coloring contest!!

OPEN FOR SKETCH AND DIGITAL INK COMMISSIONS!!

Well, September 1 just happened to be my 31st birthday. I'm a little older, a little wiser and feelin' fine.

To commemorate the occasion, I'm holding a coloring contest on the line art I specified in the poll, my Nia 2008 image. Here is the image: You can download a high-resolution file for use by anyone who is interested in the contest (or just wants to color the line art for fun).

Rules: simply color the line art the way you want. As far as the character goes, Nia Black is an African-American woman with black hair. Her necklace is gold with a light blue stone. Outside of that, color choices are completely up to you. Textures or not, cel-shades or digital paints, knock yourself out. If you need to modify the line art in any way for your coloring, just make sure that the general theme of the drawing is intact (e.g., if you prefer to digitally-paint without lines or if you want to apply additional detail to Nia's clothing, hair, etc.).

The winners will be chosen via public poll. Initially, if I get more than ten entries, my wife and I will choose which images are the top ten before the poll goes live.

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for: prizes. Since my tablet is disabled, I will be unable to provide full color art as a prize (I know you're all heartbroken about it). So I guess you'll just have to settle for money.

Grand prize: $100
Runner up: $50 UPDATE: Runner up prize is now $50 as suggested by my wife.
Third place: Three-month subscription to DeviantART

The contest begins effective immediately and ends on October 17, 2008. Judging will commence on or around October 20, 2008. Submit your entries by uploading them to your dA gallery (or scraps, doesn't matter) and sending me a link to your upload. You can modify your entry as many times as you like prior to the deadline. No extensions will be provided.
