Character design commission for a writer on Facebook. Designed her from a written description with some photographic influence and the client was happy.
That is a very well made picture DM I love the extra pose power on the legs, you could have had it straight on and the client would have been fine, but you gave it that extra touch
Thanks Mike. Someone actually critiqued me a couple of days ago saying my poses are too flat so I've been trying to change up, slightly at least. Funny, people used to praise me for dynamic posing but I feel that drive has faded from my work.
DM Don't say that. Listen man, go in there knowing what you make it great. Yes, it can always be better, but don't doubt yourself. Unique angles are just a cool thing to do, your art has real merit
Yeah, lack of confidence seems to be something I can't seem to get over, even after drawing stuff for 33 years...I suppose as long as my work speaks for itself I'll be okay, but it is becoming more obvious I doubt myself a lot.
Nice work- I like your use of colors and shading in this pic- especially how you've captured the glow from her hands and the reflections on her skin and skirt.
Nice work! It's tricky to design a character from a written description, so definitely well done there!
Thanks! The hardest part is normally with a client wanting every little thing being adjusted, but this one was really easy to work with!
Cool! Love the lightning effect.
Thanks man! I hope all is well.
