Really nice piece. I think it was your Shauntia Black piece that first drew me to your work. My thing is 3D so take it for it what's it worth. Love the colors and coloring style. It reminds me of something I'd see in a travel office or something. "Come to our Island and get whacked by Shauntia...." This piece really emotes a tropical feel and I think the colors of the background and Shauntia work well together. In fact, nice work with the back ground period. I wouldn't know it was from a photo if I did not see the wip. Shauntia looks really good as well. My only real crit on this piece is there seems to be a bit of disconnect visually between Shauntia and the background. Like she's not really in it. Don't know if it's intentional or perspective that's causing that but I think it detracts a tad from what is an otherwise awesome image. It is something I struggle with in my 3D work when incorporating 2D backgrounds. If the intent was to have her and the background blend more together, perhaps burying her knees and hands in the sand a bit would help. If the intent was to have the two separate, perhaps try to emphasize that more maybe by framing the background separate from Shauntia where the background image only takes up part of the picture and the rest of the background is a solid color. Tough for me to explain but I've seen it done and it looks nice. Again, nice work.
