Those eyes... again, I find something with one of your drawings that catch my attention. Based on the fact that I'm aware of Jet's design, I sense that there is some relation to the two characters here (outside of the fact you've already mentioned that Sphere is Jet's adversary). I won't hazard too strongly of a guess at the moment, but as usual, I suspect you colored the eyes for a good reason.
Trying to wrap my head around Striking Sphere's design in terms of her capabilities. Looks like she has some pseudo-soccer thing going for her, but I can't say that with absolutely certainty. Visually, I must say that her abs jump out at me more than her chest does, though. At least her 'outfit' of choice shows that she takes her physical fitness seriously enough for the task.
Thanks! I wrote a whole story that breaks down the relationship between Jet Dancer and Striking Sphere (and others like them), and admittedly, it's a lot simpler than one might suspect. A part of me wants to tell that story, but another part of me isn't quite sure I either have the fortitude, or the interest, in drawing a whole comic about it. And Jet Dancer doesn't really seem suited for a prose novel, so...I don't know if it's ever going to see the light of day.
Maybe if I make a game...
As for her abilities, SS can hurl or kick the ball at precision-calculated angles and trajectories in order to hit her target and have it ricochet back to her, and it emits a charge on impact which has destructive capabilities. The specialized glove she wears doubles as a remote to call it back in case something goes wrong. Kind of silly, but...I was in a silly phase when I made her and my other "Sensual Weapon" girls up many years ago.
That's why part of the reason I didn't want to make a guess. It's the kind of thing you actually want to see materialize, as opposed to making predictions as to what can happen. Even if it is "simpler," there's still a potential to be surprised this way.
As for her abilities, the idea really doesn't sound that bad at all. I envision it as a boomerang-like technique that's able to generate enough force on impact and/or has magnetic features that makes it useful only for attacking, but returning to Striking Sphere. It's a bit physics-defying in that sense, but pretty cool.
Hey, the idea's in place, so there's always the chance to refine things as they go along. Plus, I like the sporty element that goes with it.
