Well, here's my 2012 Art Summary. Saw a few others doing it so I figured, I might as well join in the fun.
Girl drawings dominate, as always, but they're just the tip of the iceberg compared to the overall volume of work I've produced this year.
It's been a pretty productive year for me art-wise, having gotten significantly more commissions this year than I'd ever gotten before (likely in no small part due to that image I did for March), successful completion of a month-long Daily Draw event on Satellite Soda, and starting (and giving up) my first attempt at a webcomic and all.
But things slowed to a crawl for me as the year lurched on and I found myself either having only time to do art for others, or lacking the energy/motivation to do much at all even when my workload was light.
I'm hoping for a more productive year in 2013 and I hope intend to overcome whatever it is that holds me back from producing a personal project of my own. I've seen many of my friends take great strides toward putting their work out there this year, and I want to be among those ranks. I have many ideas brewing, I just need to make myself settle for one until it's ready for action. There's no magic trick to it, I just have to make myself be more productive and resistant to the urge for instant gratification.
I also looked back on a past year summary I did, and saw that I've been saying the same stuff for years now... something's gotta give.
By the way, April's image was supposed to be my "Soul Guide line art" but I didn't want Christiana to appear up there twice so I picked my second most popular image for that month.
